Excel copper shower assembly guide

  1. Take the foot for the shower - the ground spike and fold it out. The 3 legs with holes should be placed where there is no water supply spout, screw the shortest pipe into the 90 degree bend - tighten firmly.
  2. Take the tripod stabilization pins and loosely attach the mounting bracket around the pipe so that it can be moved up/down. Secure it with the wing nuts provided, then install the 3 stabilization pins into the ground spike - 3 pins and 3 holes - use the wing nuts to tighten them to the underside of the 3 ground spike legs.
  3. Attach the Y-piece to the water inlet nozzle. Tighten securely. If it is loose, there is a gasket missing - a transparent gasket that may still be in the molded inner packaging.
  4. Screw on the water drain tap - tighten securely.
  5. Place one of the long tubes over the water tap - tighten securely.
  6. Put the volume knob/tap (on/off water supply) on top of the long tube - tighten securely.
  7. Attach another long tube - on top of the volume knob/tap - tighten securely.
  8. Attach the curved pipe to the long pipe - tighten securely.
  9. Put the shower head incl. ball joint (not ball joint on steel version) on the curved pipe - tighten firmly.
  10. Thread the ground spike into the lawn and connect the water storage - 2 clamps (not included on steel version) - tighten carefully.
  11. Turn on the water supply and see if everything is tight.
  12. If not tight - tighten a little more. If that doesn't help, use some packing twine or replace any leaking gaskets. If it's still not tight in one or more joints, try using packing tape instead. Maybe it's screwed together crookedly? If this doesn't help, contact the store where it was purchased or send an email to: excel@excel.dk.

GOOD ADVICE

  • The installation should not be left with water pressure on for long periods of time.
  • The installation is intended for private consumers' ordinary water installations with ordinary water pressure. The installation cannot withstand industrial / high pressure pump water pressure.
  • The installation must be drained of water before the temperature reaches freezing point. The warranty does not cover frost cracks.
  • Change the water in the installation frequently, it is harmful to health to leave the water lukewarm due to solar heating for a long time. If not in use for some time, let it soak before using it. Otherwise, bacteria may be present in the vapors of old, stagnant lukewarm water and you may contract "Legionnaires' disease" if you inhale it.
  • If you do not use both cold and hot water, you can let the water flow through the installation - i.e. in through one inlet in the Y-piece and out through the other by keeping the volume knob closed.
  • If you don't have access to hot water outside, you can use solar heating of the garden hose as a "heat source" by rolling e.g. 20-40 meters of garden hose together as a roll - preferably black hose, which absorbs heat best when laid in the baking sun. But use the heated water on the same day as it is heated to avoid "Legionnaires' disease"
  • The installation can withstand normal strong winds - but not storms - in which case it must be taken inside/laid down. The warranty does not cover dents due to the installation being knocked over.
  • The installation is intended for showering and possibly filling the watering can for watering through the tap. In principle, you should not drink the water from the installation. It is not a drinking water installation.
